Back to the Lake

After a rainy, miserable weekend this was a welcome sight on my way to work this morning. The leaves are really turning now and there was a hint of frost on the car.

On my way home in October

I drive by some of the most beautiful trees and rural scenes every day. Today I stopped to take a few photos.

This little shed is on one of the blueberry farms on Magnolia Road in Pemberton.

A walk around the office at lunchtime

This is one of the many ponds around my office. There are often herons, egrets, ducks, and geese swimming and fishing in them.

As I was shooting some leaves on top of the water, I came to a very shallow part and saw some fish enjoying the fall foliage that had fallen below the surface.

Stopping on my way to work

I pass Pemberton Lake every morning on my way to work. This morning I just had to stop as the mist was rising off of the water and the trees were just starting to turn. The water was so calm and reflected the blue sky and the treeline beautifully.

As I walked around toward the dock, I saw this reflection of the tree in the water. Before I left I took the wide angle shot below.

Abby

Abby has the most beautiful blue eyes. It took her a little while to warm up to me, but she had fun exploring the garden.
